Removing a hyundai sonata door panel.

This video will quickly show the steps on how to remove the door panel of the hyundai sonata on a 2016 model so that someone can access the speaker window r. The release tab is illustrated with a blue arrow in picture 21 above. You will have to remove the outside handle and slide the white plastic connection to the latch out of the slots in the door module. Remove the front door trim panel.

Insert a trim panel remover between the trim fasteners and the door trim panel to pry off. The service information is pretty sketchy but you can remove the latch from the door then separate it from the module or remove it with the module loose and leave the latch in the door. If you do want to fully remove the door panel press the small black plastic release tab located in between the two cables to remove the door pull lock unlock mechanism. Remove the door window regulator handle and then remove clip using a piece of cloth manual type only. Use a torx t20 screwdriver to remove them and pull the speaker out of the inner door panel. Remove the quadrant inner cover and the rear view mirror. Here is a link to the door trim removal tools at amazon.

Remove the front door inside handle housing. The oem door speaker is held in place by four torx screws. Process is similar for passenger side door less connectors. I haven t looked at the rears but they will be very similar.
