Started off as usual removing the trim from the front lower awning rail.

It s hard not to bend it at all when removing it but if your careful you can gently bend it back into shape. Wash the awning with a mixture of warm water. Therefore the stitching along the awning rail needs to be seam sealed this is usual for tents were the the fabric can t be taped. This tent awning repair kit includes everything you need to repair rips and holes in most materials and fabrics.

Now lift away the awning rail remember they bend very easily. The surface must be free of dirt grease oil rust tar and any other contaminant that will inhibit a proper seal. Clean the area surrounding the leak. If the user positions the tape incorrectly it is best not to pull up the tape and then reposition it.

This is a quick video showing what i used to seal repair my caravan from damp. The user must push out any trapped air bubbles. Most of the stitched seams are factory taped but not the awning rail seam. The kit is also supplied with an alcohol wipe sachet and a spatula spreader.

You get 2 sachets of repair solution 5g 2 x repair tape patches 75mm diameter and 1 reel of repair tape 500mm.
